Week of February 5-7th in the Garden and Home

 

Week 51 in the garden

I think I might have a flower bloom by Christmas, it will be close.

My cabbage is looking promising 

Also my broccoli is gorgeous Is’t a little yellow, I don’t know if it needs fish fertilizer or starting to bolt.I will have to keep an eye on it.

I found an interesting cluster of mushrooms, they look like googly eyes staring at you.

I received my Farmer Bailey order ofLisianthus voyage 2 champagne Nigella Delft BluePoppy Hummingbird MixI will start hardening off 12-22 starting with 2 hours

 

Finishing up planting 4 trays of snapdragons and 1/2 a tray of Pink Dragon left. I will be planting that one on Friday the 12/23. Trying to squeeze all of them is a challenge for sure.

Week 50 in the garden

Added 1 chiogga beet and triplet baby onions from a lost onion in the dirt.

My beautiful broccoli is doing so good

The head of cabbage is about 4” round

And those darn voles or ground squirrels are back

The solar beepers do not work that I bought from Amazon.

Just planted half of my tulips but crazy rain and wind has stalled the project.

Today Sunday isn’t as bad as yesterday so I’m hoping to continue and complete this project.

I was happy to get a small harvest of purple top turnips today, 

I think I will be roasting them in the oven.

It’s so nice to see a rainbow and it brings a smile to my face.
