Week 50 in the garden

Added 1 chiogga beet and triplet baby onions from a lost onion in the dirt.

My beautiful broccoli is doing so good

The head of cabbage is about 4” round

And those darn voles or ground squirrels are back

The solar beepers do not work that I bought from Amazon.

Just planted half of my tulips but crazy rain and wind has stalled the project.

Today Sunday isn’t as bad as yesterday so I’m hoping to continue and complete this project.

I was happy to get a small harvest of purple top turnips today, 

I think I will be roasting them in the oven.

It’s so nice to see a rainbow and it brings a smile to my face.

New compost bin

 Setting up a new compost bin from amazon the chicken wire lets to many critters inside and possibly contaminating my soil so this is a lot safer to use. I was able to scrape off the bottom and put it in my fern bed to help hold on the more moisture and make it look nicer.

After filling it back up, it was nice to get it turned over and was able to see how dry it was

It was pretty easy to put together and came with clips like buttoning up a coat.
