My oldest son started the brine yesterday from
Didn't have a container big enough for a 20 lbs.bird so we wrapped it in a large trash bag and turned it 3 times.
Around 4:00 pm he started the coals and soaked the chips.
He finally put the Turkey in at 5:00
8:00 pm finally done at 170* in the thigh
Look at that beautiful smoke ring. It was so tender and good.
Great job Timmy!
Oops didn't count the points, o well it was so late it shouldn't count right?

Apply a very thin, even coating of MELTED solid vegetable
shortening (or cooking oil of your choice) to the cookware inside and out. Too much oil will result in a sticky finish.
* Place aluminum foil on the bottom rack of the oven to catch any drips.* Set oven temperature to 350 – 400 degrees F.
* Place cookware upside down on the top rack of the oven to prevent pooling.
* Bake the cookware for at least one hour. After the hour, turn the oven off and let the cookware cool in the oven.
* Store the cookware uncovered, in a dry place when cooled.
* Repeat as necessary.
